NEW JOB =)

Ok so i have been thinking and thinking and thinking the past few months about the film industry and what I wanted to do other than that ... i have come to the conclusion that the answer is nothing because i love the industry, but I am tired of the long hours, the drives to MIAMI, the travel / living out of a suitcase and the stress from people .... sooooooo i have been on the hunt for a job.. something I think I am not only gonna enjoy but that will also pay the bills =)! After a few months of looking I think I have found something. I applied to a few vet hospitals just because I think I can relate to the people and animals well ... soooo i did that and whooohoohoooo got a call back for a formal interview on Friday from 8am -10am ... im sooo stoked and yeah ok its gonna be less than what I make in film, totally different from the industry, steady and i think its gonna be a fun job... plus no lie its right down the street from me ... 2.7 miles away hahahaha how awsome is that =) !!

12P Conspiracy Moon Landing

Apollo Moon Landing hoax accusations are claims that some or all elements of the Apollo Moon landings were faked by NASA and possibly members of other involved organizations. Some groups and individuals have advanced various theories which tend, to varying degrees, to include the following common elements:
* The Apollo Astronauts did not land on the Moon;
* NASA and possibly others deceived the public into believing the landing(s) did occur by manufacturing, destroying, or tampering with evidence, including photos, telemetry tapes, transmissions, and rock samples;
* NASA and possibly others continue to actively participate in the conspiracy to this day.

Many commentators have published detailed rebuttals to the hoax claims. A 1999 poll by the The Gallup Organization found that 89 percent of the US public believed the landing was genuine, while 6 percent did not and 5 percent were undecided.

1P Incredible Islands: Dubai
The Palm Island Resort is a series of three islands called Palm Jebel Ali, Palm Jumeirah and Palm Deira. They are also often referred to as The Eight Wonder of the World. Palm Deira is the largest in the Palm Island Resort and is anchored into the ocean floor just east of another incredible Dubai project, The World Islands. With the construction of the Palm Islands Dubai is a more sought-after tourist destination than ever before.

Dubai's land-reclamation projects — the Palm Islands of Jumeira, Jebel Ali, and Deira and The World archipelago — will be the world's largest artificial island complexes, developed with villas, golf courses, and holiday resorts.

The World is an archipelago of artificial islands, shaped like the continents of the Earth, being constructed off the coast of Dubai. The project is inspired by the artificial Palm Islands also being built in Dubai. The World will consist of 250 to 300 smaller private artificial islands divided into four categories - private homes, estate homes, dream resorts, and community islands. The entire project is slated for completion in 2008.

Each island ranges from 250,000 to 900,000 square feet (23 226m² to 83 613m²) in size, with 50 to 100 metres of water between each island. The development covers an area of 9 kilometers in length and 6 kilometers in width, surrounded by an oval breakwater. The only means of transportation between the islands will be by boat and helicopter. Each island will cost an estimated average of $25 million (USD)

2P Impossible Hotel: Ice Hotel
A hotel built of ice and snow
ICEHOTEL is situated in the village Jukkasjärvi, 200 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle in Sweden. The heart and backbone is the River Torne flowing freely through the unspoilt wilderness. Covered with a meter thick ice layer winter time the river is the source of all our art, architecture and design. The pure water and the steady movement of the river creates the clearest ice possible.

3P The Burj Al Arab
Construction of Burj Al Arab began in 1994. It was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian vessel. Two "wings" spread in a V to form a vast "mast", while the space between them is enclosed in a massive atrium. Architect Tom Wright said "The client wanted a building that would become an iconic or symbolic statement for Dubai; this is very similar to Sydney with its Opera House, or Paris with the Eiffel Tower. It needed to be a building that would become synonymous with the name of the country."
The architect and engineering consultant for the project was Atkins, the UK's largest multidisciplinary consultancy. The hotel cost $650 million to build.
Several features of the hotel required complex engineering feats to achieve. The hotel rests on an artificial island constructed 280 meters offshore. To secure a foundation, the builders drove 230 40-meter long concrete piles into the sand. The foundation is held in place not by bedrock, but by the friction of the sand and silt along the length of the piles.
Engineers created a surface layer of large rocks, which is circled with a concrete honey-comb pattern, which serves to protect the foundation from erosion. It took three years to reclaim the land from the sea, but less than three years to construct the building itself. The building contains over 70,000 cubic meters of concrete and 9,000 tons of steel. It is The world's tallest atrium!!!

During the construction phase, to lower the interior temperature, the building was cooled by one degree per day over 6 months. This was to prevent large amounts of "condensation or in fact even a rain cloud from forming in the hotel during the period of construction." This task was accomplished by several cold air nozzles, which point down from the top of the ceiling, and blast a 1 meter cold air pocket down the inside of the sail. This creates a buffer zone, which controls the interior temperature without massive energy costs. Burj Al Arab characterizes itself as the world's only "7-star" property, a designation considered by travel professionals to be hyperbole. All major travel guides and hotel rating systems have a 5-star maximum, which some hotels attempt to out-do by ascribing themselves "6-star" status. Yet according to the Burj Al Arab's official site, the hotel is a "5-star deluxe hotel". It is the world's tallest structure with a membrane façade and the world's tallest hotel (not including buildings with mixed use) and was the first 5-star hotel to surpass 1,000 ft (305 m) in height.

Everything has a purpose, even this, and it's up to you to find it.

A warrior does not give up what he loves, he finds the love in what he does

I call myself a Peaceful Warrior... because the battles we fight are on the inside

This moment is the only thing that matters.

Where are you? Here. What time is it?Now.What are you? This moment.

I don't think your leg was the only thing that got broken.

The journey is what brings us happiness not the destination.

The ones who are hardest to love are usually the ones who need it the most.

Those who are the hardest to love, need it the most

There is only the journey

A warrior is not about perfection or victory or invulnerability. He's about absolute vulnerability.

There is no starting or stopping - only doing.

There are no ordinary moments.

It's the journey, not the destination.

There's no greater purpose than service to others.

Everyone wants to tell you what to do and what's good for you. They don't want you to find your own answers, they want you to believe theirs.

Let me guess, and you want me to believe yours. No, I want you to stop gathering information from the outside and start gathering it from the inside.

People are not theirs thoughts, they think they are, and it brings them all kinds of sadness.

Life has just three rules? And you already know them...Paradox, humour, and change.Paradox...Life is a mystery. Don't waste time trying to figure it out.Humour...Keep a sense of humour, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure.Change...Know that nothing stays the same.

I took for granted what I could do. I was sloppy with my life; I'm scared but I feel like I got rid of all the old stuff and it was the right thing to do.
Socrates: Death isn't sad. The sad thing is: most people don't live at all.

Pink Dolphin

CNN.com

This extremely rare and beautiful ‘pink dolphin’ was first spotted and photographed by Captain Erik Rue of Calcasieu Charter Service in 2007 during a fishing trip on Calcasieu Lake south of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Captain Rue has seen the albino dolphin several times, the latest being on November 17th, when it appeared to be in good health.

It appears to be an extremely rare albino dolphin, with reddish eyes and glossy pink skin. It is small in comparison to the others it appears to be a juvenile traveling with his/her mother. After spotting the beautiful mammal cruising with a pod of four other dolphins, Captain Rue and his guests idled nearby while watching and photographing the unusual sight for more than an hour.

Albino dolphins, such as the one viewed at the Louisiana shores, are extremely rare. Since 1963, only 14 such dolphins have been viewed, with only three being spotted in the Gulf of Mexico since 1994. However, according to National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) marine biologist Patricia Rosel (currently studying genetic glitches found in bottlenose dolphins), pink albino dolphins are unheard of. Since the first sighting of this dolphin calf by Rue, it has been spotted several times, and Rosel said she is also hoping to catch a glimpse of the calf.

According to dolphin experts, this calf is certainly an albino. While most albino dolphins are white, the warm Gulf waters may be a reason for the pink color of the viewed calf. The calf's pinkish appearance is also likely produced by blood vessels underneath its relatively thin layer of blubber which create a pinkish-red hue that would ordinarily be masked by a typical dolphins gary coloration.

Vegetarian OR NOT.. that is the question

QUOTE: Just because you eat a burger dosnt mean you wanna meet the cow.

My friend Danit would be proud of this post =)

Ok so one of my friends sent me a text message today that said
"Look at the vegetarian video I put on my myspace. I'm officially a vegetarian! NO MEAT!! EVERRRR AGAIN!!"

Lets just say the texting convo got so headed that she called me... she never calls me .. shes a texting girl and she called me .. and yeah ok she has a point...shhhhhhh dont tell her I said that .. and ok she is right.. YES she is right about how slaughter houses are and its not right or fair to the animals and blah blah blah..not blahhh as in blah whatever .. blahhhh as in ok the info is true and in my face now ... and yes I have done papers and segments on vegan people and also meat and also so many other things .. but what I was trying to tell her is fine become vegan ... danit is one .. i have noooo problem with it ... but dont join the cult and start preaching vegan this and vegan that... everyone has a choice in life ... we all and understand things and also know things but its up to the people to either really learn about things or turn away when they are being talking about ... such as abortion, eco friendly cars, going green, using bleach to clean, using hair spray, rescuing a pet for 100.00 or paying 1000 for a pet with papers, smoking or not smoking ...... sooo many choices and the world can either look away or make a change.

The Different Vegetarian-isms

The Different Vegetarian-isms

The word "vegetarian" is a generic blanket term used to describe anybody who does not eat meat, poultry, fish, or seafood. Vegetarians are generally those people who have chosen a diet with far less restrictions than those chosen by a vegan.

The differences between the various vegetarian sub-groups may appear to be small, but they are very important to the members who belong to each groups. In many cases the distinctions are important dietary or ethical decisions taken by the individual.

Here are the various vegetarian sub-groups:

Semi-Vegetarian
Semi-vegetarians are people who have chosen to live a lifestyle which is not strictly vegetarian. A semi-vegetarian may be a person who only eats meat occasionally, or perhaps doesn’t eat meat, but eats poultry and fish.

Ovo-Lacto-Vegetarian
Ovo-lacto vegetarians are vegetarians who do not eat meat, poultry, fish, and seafood, but do eat eggs and milk. This is by far the largest group of vegetarians.

Ovo-Vegetarian
Ovo-vegetarians are people who would be classed as vegans if they did not eat eggs.

Lacto-Vegetarian
Lacto-vegetarians are people who would be classed as vegans if they did not consume milk.

Vegan
This is by far the strictest vegetarian sub-group or category.
A vegan is a person who has chosen not to consume any animal products or byproducts. Some will even so far as not consuming honey and yeast, and others will not wear any clothing made from animal products.

THE EYE

Drama | Horror | Suspense/Thriller

Sydney Wells is an accomplished, independent, Los Angeles-based concert violinist. She is also blind, and has been so since a childhood tragedy. Sydney undergoes a double corneal transplant, a surgery she has waited her whole life to have, and her sight is restored. As Sydney adjusts to a dizzying new world of colors and shapes, she is haunted by frightening visions of death itself capturing the doomed and dragging them away from the world of the living. Terrorized and on the brink of insanity, Sydney must discover whose eyes she has inherited, and what secret visions they have held.

Chrissie's Review =)
Good special effects and some scary characters put together with great cinematography make this one notch up from a B horror film. Its off the wall edge of your seat thriller but its only the last half of the flick that puts the entire movie together. Sydney finally finds out the purpose behind her peepers. It stops with the digital effects and starts with the real plot, real story and real acting. which is pretty cool.

All-in-all, The Eye is aa good scary movie and film. No blood splatter, flying brains or psycho sex. But lots of good digital special effects and great acting. Also, a pretty good picture of a woman bearing up under the pressure instead of just running to Daddy or Hubbie for protection. Tough choices have to be made. Its a good lesson learned flick.

Also this is one that Jessica went all out on and I must say its a 180 from her fantastic 4 character Susan Storm .. GREAT ROLL AND A 2 THUMBS UP!!
