TOGA, TOGA, TOGA



A toga party is a particular kind of costume party at which everyone wears a toga, or a semblance thereof, normally made from a bedsheet, and sandals. Started in the 1960s at Wake Forest University in the residence Collins Hall. The toga party concept originated within the dormitories hence the costume. Toga parties are notorious for featuring large amounts of alcoholic beverages especially beer. Toga parties were depicted in the 1978 film Animal House which propelled the ritual into a widespread and enduring practice. Ivan Reitman was one of the producers of Animal House and he attended Wake Forest University and stayed in Collins Hall.


For a while now I have been thinking of having a TOGA party. Not sure why I just think theme parties are really fun and its been a while since I had one ..... The last one was in college (FULL SAIL) a few years ago hahahaha so this theme party is long over due!


Just an idea nothing set in stone yet but usually my ideas turn into actions hahaha!!

I think I am coming down with something. I have been sneezing, coughing, nose has been runny, eyes all itchy and watery, and im congested ..... ugh don't I sound like a commercial hahahaha but its not funny!!

Bro went to play Poker tonight and I am on my way out the door to met a few friends for drinks at SWIGS and then heading over to this frat party. I know I know trouble is the word because an EX is going to be there but o well .. hey are we suppose to let EX-asshole stop us from having fun hahahaha HELL NO!! I really just want to stay home with the pup but he is passed out and I slept all afternoon after work so now I am paying the price lol. A NIGHT ON THE TOWN HERE I COME =) !! "HERE's TROUBBLE NOW"

long day

I hate those moments in life ... you just cant help but feel like an asshole!!

I got home from work today and omg I was sooooo damn tired.
Not just cat nap tired.....noooooo way ..... I am talking if I sleep I can sleep till tomorrow morning!
Anyway I am watching this movie and within mins I pass out. I am talking OUT OUT OUT like a light!!!
I woke up and the clock said 6:55 ohhhhhhhhh man I jumped out of my bed because for some odd reason I thought it was 6:55am and I was late for work (again haha). It took me a min or two to realize that it was indeed Friday night hahaha!

Damn this Dog!!

DAKOTA IS SICK

He has not been feeling good for a while but now its gotten really bad. I notice a difference in him more and more everyday. I love this dog and I don't know what I would do without him around!

Saturday:
Regular Vet Doctor
She took X-rays and was not happy with the results!
She got me all worked up and upset leading me to question her and question me as an owner!

Sunday and Monday
Bro talked to his friend Ryan

NEW VET for 2nd Opinion
He said if Dakota was sick he would not be as active as he was but you can clearly see something is going on inside of him. He set us up with a Referral to a Specialist that is booked for the month but we got an apt for him to see Dakota Wed at 10:30am

Bro had to take the pup I unfortunately could not get off of work but the doc talked to me over the phone and was really really really nice. I was pleased with him and also leaving dakota over night

Poor pup and hahaha poor me I could not sleep all night long
They did a FEW PROCEDURES and now we are waiting for results.
ETA: is late next week

Thurday
around 6pm I was able to pick Dakota up and being him home
I MISSED HIM SOOOO MUCH
He was still a little drugged up hehehehe but he is ok
He slept with him the entire night!!
Of course I did not sleep I kept checking him to make sure he was breathing haha
(they had to sedate him for a few procedures so I was nervous about that) hence the not sleeping and checking to make sure he was indeed breathing

Dakota got attacked by a dog last night

Of course dad was walking him and this fucken neighborhood dog ran out and attacked my dog then chased him around till Dakota lost him and ran to our front door. At lease we can say if my dog ever got lost he knows how to get home!!

Dakota does not fight back.
Ahhhhh dont ask my why but he does not!!
It sucks that a dog as nice as Dakota always gets the shit end of the stick!!

We had to take him to the ER Vet and they put three staples in leaving this section open to drain out because dog bits are dirty bits and air needs to get in so it does not get infected. Ewwww gross buy YES I am sooooo pissed that people cant use a damn leash. PS yes my dog was on a leash and the only reason he got away was because he slipped out of his collar. Ever since he was a puppy I left his collar loose incase he ever got stuck inside the house when we were not home he would be able to get out of his collar and not panic while hurting himself! This is Dakotas THIRD dog attack in the neighborhood. This is getting out of control and this weekend I am going to buy a stun gun! NO MORE ... FUCK THIS SHIT!!!

Ohh yeah PS the VET DOC was OMG SOOOOOOO FINE hahahaha I cant wait to take dakota back to get his staples taken out haha ..Im soooooo gonna look like a hottie haha Im sooo bad =) !!

2 Years Miss You Mom

I played hookie from work today =)

Well I did take the day off just because I wanted to !!

Jan 5th
At 11:06 AM it was officially 2 years since mom passed away.
It seems like it was just yesterday but days are still soooo sad sometimes
I keep thinking ..... Will the pain and sadness ever go away??

I spend the day with Alyssa ohhhhh lord hahaha it was a fun one!!
we bought flowers
Tried to get a balloon but of course they did not have MISS YOU balloons at Publix haha
I needed tampons and a toothbrush thats why we where there so we scared lol I scrated that balloon idea and just stuck with flowers =)

Then we went to the cemetery
Alyssa cleaned moms foot stone off because I sure and hell was not gonna touch that nasty dirty that looked like poooopoooo and the yellow brown water that I stupidly pored out to try and clean the dirt off that clearly didn't work only made it all worst hahaha .... sorry mom you know how I am with shit like that....

Then we drove around town running some errands and singing in the car hahaha

It was a different anniversary date this time around! It turned out good!

Ingredients:
Ham or Canadian bacon
English muffins
Eggs
Hollandaise sauce

Directions:
Saute six slices ham briefly in butter. Place each on a toasted English muffin half and top each with a poached egg. Cover with Hollandaise sauce. Canadain bacon may be substituted for the ham. If desired, garnish with a truffle slice or a sprig of parsley

For a change of pace, top with a broiled tomato slice before adding Hollandaise sauce.

Good things always come to an end

My 2 week vacation break is ohhhh sooo over as of tomorrow JAN 2nd 2007....I did mostly nothing but live at BLOCKBUSTER and catch up on those movies I never got the chance to see because I was in Greece or well just didnt get around to seeing them so it was a much needed movie catch up, R & R, home all day, and hang out with people who were in town at night GREAT 2 WEEK BREAK. Not to mention the few good old post that included the tree dilemma and decorating lol, the football game, the party ... ugh every year I say this is the last and then next year comes around and we have one ... when am I gonna learn????? But over all it was a good much needed break but just like everything else all good things must come to an end!! Bitter sweet I must say but now its time to make some money and pay those late and piling up bills!

Time to relax, do nothing, vegetate all day, surf the net, and take it all in before reality and work starts kicking in at 5:30 in the AM Mon - Fri hahaha.
