MRI REPORT


JUST GOT MY REPORT BACK AND HAD TO SHARE ... DONT UNDERSTAND IT lol.... HENCE THE LINKS but my Ortho will explain more when I go see him on Thursday!!!!

Approximate anatomic alignment is noted. No intramedullary bony lesions are identified. There is no evidence of
osteochondritis dissecans or fractures of the femoral condyles or tibial plateaus. Femoral condyles or tibial plateaus. There is cartilaginous thinning of the posterior medial patellar facet indicate earlychondromalacia There is mild lateral patellar subluxation. The Patellar retinacula are intact.

There is myxoid degenerative change / tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus. The lateral meniscus is intact. The anterios and posterior cruciate ligaments, collateral ligaments, quadriceps and patellar tendons are intact. There is a small joint effusion present. No bakers cyst is seen. The adjacent soft tissues are unremarkable .

IMPRESSION:

Mild Chondromalacia of the Patella
Advanced Lateral Patellar Sibluxation
Myxoid degernerative change, posterior horn, medial meniscus, with joint effusion
No other evidence of internal derangement.

Ooo shit Chrissie this does not sound good. I didn't understand a word u were talking about in this blog but clicking on the links and reading about those medical terms helped a lot and it sounds bad! Calling you on Thursday after 1 ur time to find out whats up! Sorry I cant call sooner!
